The Lord's Larder Christmas List

Christmas 2023

At Christmas time, it is our custom to give out special Christmas Parcels to encourage people who may be lonely or shut in, so that they may enjoy this festive period. Last year, Christmas 2022, The Lord's Larder was able to give out 300 Christmas Parcels, which went to help 828 people in our local community. This Christmas we will be putting Christmas items in our standard food parcels, so more people receive Christmas food items for a special Christmas meal, items like mince pies, Christmas Puddings, Ham and Salmon. Therefore we will not be doing our Christmas Parcels this year, we will putting Christmas food items in our standard food parcels.

If you would prefer to make a financial gift at Christmas time see our how to donate webpage to explain how best to do that.

We will be collecting again in the end of October, and November 2023 for this coming Christmas, all Christmas food donations need to be with us by the end of November so as to get those items into parcels, if you would like to donate through out the year, please take a look at our year round shopping list on our Harvest Information Webpage.

Please note due to lack of space we cannot accept donations of toys, books, clothes or any other Christmas item other than food, sorry.

please consider the following points:

  1. Food needs to have a best before date beyond Christmas if we are to include it in a festive parcel.
  2. We start creating our seasonal parcels at the beginning of December, so please try to donate by the end of November if possible, if that is not possible, try and get your donations to the Larder well before Christmas, thank you.
  3. Please give us a call in advance if you intend to bring in large donations, so we can arrange volunteers to come in and help pack them away.
  4. All donations for The Lord's Larder can be dropped off at the Gateway Building, postcode BA20 1QN, Mon - Fri between 9-4pm, we are not open weekends. If you need help to carry your donations from the car to The Gateway, please call ahead on Yeovil 726576 to arrange. Please label the bags or boxes with your name, so we know who donated what.

Our number to call in case of a large donation is (01935) 726576, and our other contact details can be found on our contact page.

From all at the Lord's Larder, we wish you a peaceful Christmas, and thank you for all your help and support.
